Public Consultation on Future Land Use of Land at Corner of Larmer and Cadell (Newell Hwy) Streets
Introduction
Narrandera Shire Council is inviting the community to share their thoughts on the future use of land located at the corner of Larmer and Cadell (Newell Hwy) Streets, a prominent entrance to Narrandera. Several potential options are being considered for the land, including the installation of an entrance statement, signage, sculpture, and the possibility of resale. The community's input will be critical in determining the best use of this space.
We encourage all local residents, businesses, and visitors to participate in this consultation and provide feedback on the various proposed options. Your views will help guide the final decision on how this land should be used.
About the Proposal
Council is considering the following options for the land:
- Entrance Statement: One of the proposed options is the installation of a cultural landmark sculpture that would serve as a welcoming feature for visitors, showcasing the unique identity of Narrandera,
- Signage: Another option is the use of the space for public signage that could improve visibility for visitors.
- Sculpture or Public Art: We are also exploring the potential of public art installations or sculptures that could further enhance the area.
- Land Resale: Finally, Council is considering the possibility of selling the land if it deemed to be beneficial for other purposes.
This is a chance for you to have your say on how we make the most of this valuable space and shape the future of Narrandera's entrance.
