Digital Mentors help other people to improve their digital skills and are essential to help close the digital divide in regional Australia. Inspiring others to try using digital technology and supporting them through their first steps using computers, mobile devices and the internet. You don’t need to be an expert as you will learn everything you need to get started.
Training content includes - What is a Digital Mentor? | The role of a Digital Mentor | Inspiring people to get online | Overcoming barriers | Supporting digital skills | Accessibility and challenges face by Digital Mentors | Preparing for a Digital Mentoring Session| Resources to help you.
Digital mentors participating in this program will receive 1.5 days training and 2.5 hours supervised digital mentoring, from the Lead Digital Mentor, building your confidence in delivering digital skills support to those that need it in the community. It will increase your personal digital skills and understanding of best practice digital mentoring techniques and how to meet the learning needs of others.
