Cr Barbara Bryon was elected to as one of Narrandera Shire Council's nine (9) Councillors in September 2016.

Barbara Bryon was born and educated in Narrandera.

After commencing her career in teaching Barbara spent several years in Sydney and country NSW and then returned to Narrandera to be married.

She is the proud mother of two lovely girls, which she successfully managed to raise while teaching and operating a small local business.  Her involvement in the community gave her great insight into the type of community that Narrandera represents.

Having spent nearly forty years teaching consecutively, and thirty of them in Narrandera, she worked with people from a range of ages and abilities and backgrounds.

Her passion for community involvement gave her the opportunity to get to know the local community extremely well and led to a valuing of communication.   Barbara has continued be involved in the community through her connection with the Community Radio Station, the John O’Brien Festival Committee, Red Cross and the Soroptimist International.

Barbara is married to John Primrose and together they continue to contribute their time towards community projects, combined with a love of travel.

She looks forward to serving on Council for the next four years and representing our Shire with all its diverse factions and areas of interest.
