Narrandera Shire Council has welcomed the announcement of $28,620 through the NSW Government’s Community Building Partnerships Fund, to undertake the creation of a third artwork across the Narrandera Water Tower.

Following an increase in visitation since the installation of the first murals, it is anticipated this exciting project will continue to build visitor appeal, helping boost Narrandera’s economic confidence and assist with business retention and a healthy job sector.

We are now seeking community feedback about what people would like to see included in the third mural. The overall design will reflect our location, our heritage, our indigenous culture, our industry and our people. This includes iconic objects, scenery and locations of Shire significance.

In keeping with the two original artworks, Council has engaged Apparition Media to produce the artwork. All proposed ideas will be collected and provided to Apparition Media to create a new mural, with works scheduled to begin 12 April.
