Water Tower Lizard Artwork
Narrandera Water Tower Stamp Feature

Narrandera Shire Council is thrilled to announce that Narrandera’s Water Tower artwork, featuring the Eastern Bearded Dragon along with imagery that captures Narrandera’s essence, will now feature on an Australia Post stamp!

Set for release on Monday 7 September, the stamp is part of a ‘Water Tower Art Collection’ curated by Australia Post and is in the company of artworks including:

  • The kingfisher in Gulargambone, by Jenny McCracken of Zest Events International for the Pave The Way To Gular festival.
  • Guido van Helten’s portraits on a Victorian Country Fire Authority water tank in the Winton Wetlands, which you can see when you head into the high country to Enjoy Benalla.
  • A series of locals painted by Vans the Omega and Sam Brooks on a disused water tower in Snowtown, South Australia, in the heart of Wakefield Regional Council area.

The water tower art installation has been a huge success for Narrandera Shire Council and Apparition Media, taking out the first ‘Best Mega Mural Category’ at the inaugural Australian Street Art Awards in 2019.
