At the March Ordinary Council Meeting, held on 18 March 2025, Jigar, Khyatiben, and Amayra Patel were officially welcomed as new citizens to Australia. The ceremony, officiated by Mayor Cr Neville Kschenka, saw the Patels pledge their allegiance to the nation, expressing gratitude for the community's support. 

The event concluded with applause, celebrating the unity and inclusivity of the community.
