Council Seeks Ideas for Youth Week 2025 Activities

In preparation for Youth Week 2025, Narrandera Shire Council is inviting the community to suggest activities for young people aged 12-24. With the theme, "I am ... We are the future. And the future is NOW!" Youth Week will celebrate the creativity, energy, and potential of our youth.

Council is asking for ideas for activities that reflect the interests and aspirations of young people, whether through sports, arts, workshops, or forums. The goal is to create a diverse and inclusive program that empowers youth to shape their future.

"Youth Week is all about empowering our young people to be active participants in their communities," said Narrandera Shire Council Mayor, Cr Neville Kschenka.

"We are excited to bring together a variety of activities that will reflect the aspirations, creativity, and energy of our youth."

Narrandera Youth Advisory Councillor Allysa Sanders expressed her support saying, "As a member of the Youth Advisory Council, with Youth Week coming up, I strongly encourage our community to express their ideas and get involved in creating a fun and engaging week for our Youth to participate in."

"It is important that our community support the YAC in coming up with activities and strategies to help make Youth Week inviting for all ages."

To share your ideas, comment on the Youth Council Facebook page, or email council@narrandera.nsw.gov.au.

The deadline for submissions is Saturday, 1 March 2025.

This is a great opportunity to ensure that the youth of our community have an engaging, impactful Youth Week experience that speaks to their present and future. We look forward to hearing your ideas!
